It was found that recombinant pH6 antigen (rPsaA protein) forming viru
lence-associated fimbriae on the surface of Yersinia pestis at pH 6.7
in host macrophage phagolysosomes or extracellularly in abscesses such
as buboes, is a novel bacterial Fc-receptor. rPsaA protein displays r
eactivity with human IgG1, IgG2 and IgG3 subclasses but does not react
with rabbit, mouse and sheep IgG.
