We report the thirteenth case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the ureter,
as well as a summary of previous cases. It is the first case reported
to be studied by computer tomography and immunohistochemical procedur
e. Further evaluation included intravenous pyelogram, cystoscopy with
retro-grade pyelogram, cell block for cytology, and electron microscop
y. Leiomyosarcoma is a very rare disease that is difficult to diagnose
