Abstract
A method for the rapid measurement of low coercive force materials (e. g. permeability nickel-iron alloys) has developed by modifying the NPL vibrating coil magnetometer to improve its sensitivity and by providi ng a magnetic shield to reduce the effects of the ambient magnetic fie ld, A comparison of the results has been made with those obtained by t he traditional ring method.
