Abstract
The paper presents some results on rain attenuation obtained at 94GHz on a 312m horizontal path using vertical polarization. The drop size a nd velocity distributions are simultaneously recorded near the link by an infrared distrometer. Results concern individual events including hail, as well as statistical relationships. The first-order multiple s cattering approximation proves to be quite sufficient to describe the coherent attenuation, even at such a high frequency.
