An additional broad peak in AC losses of Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2Ox tapes is obser
ved. Using a new method based on the model of separated finite-size st
acks of superconducting layers it is found that this peak reflects the
presence of Bi2Sr2CuOx intergrowth in the sample. Kosterlitz-Thouless
transition temperatures of pure Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2Ox and intergrowths of di
fferent thickness are defined. Our results are confirmed by the direct
TEM measurements.
