Abstract
The contact problem at compound die has been solved with the help of f inite element code PROKOP, using the hermitian cubic polynome as a dis placement shape function. Three different approaches are compared in t he paper - the condition for radial displacement at the contact surfac e, condition for the radial displacement and equidistance condition an d at last the condition for radial displacement and radial stress equi librium.
