Abstract
The paper deals with transcription standards used in psychotherapy res earch in order to obtain transcripts of audio- or videotaped psychothe rapeutic sessions. The standards are the coding system that preserves the natural structure of the therapeutic discourse and allows to proce ss the texts manually or with computer-assisted methods. The standards were originally developed for the German language and then adapted fo r the Russian.
