Abstract
In common with some other resent critical scattering studies we have o bserved the presence of a second component ill the critical fluctuatio ns close to the continuous magnetic phase transition in USb. It is fou nd that the magnetic anisotropy of this second component does not exhi bit the same directional dependence as the ''normal'' critical scatter ing and that the critical behavior of this feature is not consistent w ith an Ornstein-Zernike treatment of the scaling.
