Abstract
Two patients with postoperative subdural empyema following burr hole e vacuation of chronic subdural haematoma are reported, both caused by P ropionibacterium acnes. The need to consider this diagnosis in patient s developing recurrent symptoms after surgical drainage of chronic sub dural haematoma is emphasized.
