Sulpiride and risperidone treatment significantly improved the abnorma
l involuntary movements of two patients with Huntington's disease on b
oth actometer and clinical assessments. However, treatment with risper
idone, but not sulpiride, significantly improved the functional activi
ties as assessed by the Functional Disability Scale. To the best of ou
r knowledge this is the first report of the successful treatment of Hu
ntington's disease with risperidone.
