Abstract
The effect of longitudinal tensile stress on the magnetic state of met allic glass Fe81B13.5Si3.5C2 ribbon has been investigated by the Mossb auer spectroscopy. A comparison of the results with a mixed anisotropy model reveals the presence of 2.0 kg/mm(2) quenched-in-stress (QIS). The QIS in the sample lies in a plane common to the longitudinal ribbo n axis and the gamma ray direction and is 41 degrees tilted away from the ribbon axis.
