Abstract
Oxovanadium(IV) complexes, [VO(J-R)], where H(2)J-R is a Jager-type li gand with bridging group R (ethylene o-phenylene or 4-methyl-o-phenyle ne), have been synthesized. Condensations of the complexes with diamin es give products but as sticky, insoluble materials. An alternative me thod has been used to obtain cyclic oxovanadium(IV) complexes.
