Abstract
Recent interest in and awareness of laser technology applications have developed in the field of orthopedic surgery. This article presents a review of the literature relevant to the use of lasers for meniscal r epair and discusses techniques such as vaporization and removal of tis sue using laser heat transfer to tissue as well as laser tissue ''weld ing.''
