Abstract
In this paper a method to achieve run-length limitation properties of linear binary block codes and convolutional codes is presented, The me thod is based on permutations of positions of codeword coordinates and inversions by fixed modifier, It can be used in principle for linear binary block or convolutional codes with a generator matrix having a s pecific property described in the paper, The method is illustrated for one specific linear binary block code and one binary convolutional co de.
