The zeolites A and X containing adsorbed Se(Te) have been studied by R
aman and optical absorption spectroscopy. The Se(Te) species, confined
in the zeolite A, have been found to be twelve-membered rings, which
never have been observed for Se(Te) in other conditions. The structure
of the Se(Te) species confined in the zeolite X has been found to be
amorphous-like, mainly consisting of the irregular chains.
