Abstract
An important step in deriving an algorithm for a wave digital filter c onsists in the simulation of the connections present in the reference circuit. Usually, this task Is performed by decomposing the connection network into parallel and series connections, which can be simulated by means of the well-known parallel and series adaptors. However, in s ome cases, this approach is not applicable as it may produce delay-fre e loops. In this paper, a method is proposed by means of which arbitra ry connection networks, which may contain complex transformers, can di gitally be realized by voltage-wave two-port adaptors.
