Abstract
The effects of heating and leaching on the physical properties of radi ation vulcanized natural rubber latex (RVNRL) film were investigated. For studying the effect of heat die films were heated at different tem peratures (25-100 degrees C) for different lengths of time (0-120 minu tes), and for leaching experiments three leaching agents, (1) distille d water, (2) 1% ammonia solution and (3) water/ethanol mixtures were u sed. The tensile properties of die RVNRL film were improved by heating to certain temperature and time period. It was also found that the te nsile properties of the film were improved by leaching with all the th ree leaching agents.
