Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the boron adsorption from wastewaters of boric acid and borax. The ion-exchange method is e ffective for the adsorption of boron from waste solution. The experime ntal result obtained were evaluated both graphically and mathematicall y. In order to compare the results, the solution volume was expressed by dimensionless parameters showing the ratio of the total volume of w ater (V-1) subject to ion-exchange for a period (t(1)), to the resin v olume (V). An empirical equation relating boron concentration, C, to f iltrate and resin volumes V and V-1, respectively, has been developed: C = 2.34x10(-6) C-0(v)(-0.05) (V-1)(2).(8).
