R-AND-D NEEDS - DRYING OF SLUDGES

Sludge management is very important subject for the environmental issu e in many industrialized countries, because its generated volume is th e largest in all generated wastes. In sludge management field, role of drying is becoming more needful as increase oi difficulty for sludge disposal and need for sludge drying is expected in the future. In this paper, the present status oi drying of construction sludge, food indu stry sludge and municipal sludge are mentioned as concrete examples. T o respond these needs, it is necessary to advance further R & D.
