La. Hussain et al., LOCAL ORDERING AND THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF BISMUTH-TELLURIUM ALLOY, Physica status solidi. b, Basic research, 195(2), 1996, pp. 353-360
A quasi-lattice model is used to explain the concentration dependence
of the free energy of mixing, heat of mixing, excess entropy of mixing
, chemical short-range order parameter, and concentration-concentratio
n fluctuation in the long wavelength Limit for Bi-Te molten alloys. Th
e results show that the molten alloys form a complex of the form Bi2Te
3, with chemical ordering throughout the whole concentration range wit
h a peak at a concentration of 0.50.
