Abstract
The optical properties of Hg1-x-yCdxMnySe (x = 0.09 to 0.11; y = 0.02 to 0.03) single crystals are investigated by means of infrared transmi ssion and photoluminescence. The photoluminescence is promoted by mang anese doping. The presence of Mn significantly improves the structure of mercury selenides. The optical dielectric constant, refractive inde x, and energy gap are determined as functions of temperature.
