Abstract
Blurring of coherently averaged images due to imperfect alignment is s tudied, and two restoration methods are proposed and evaluated. It is shown that iterative realignment is more powerful than post-filtering in reducing blur. The value of averaging and restoration is illustrate d on human subjects in noisy video sequences.
