Abstract
Some achievements and difficulties in the development of marine techno logies that deal with the utilization of marine natural products as dr ugs, biochemical preparations, preparations for agriculture, etc., are discussed in the course of this paper. Studies performed at the Pacif ic Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Science s are used as examples to highlight difficulties faced in this area.
