The analytical approach to the critical point of Ising films proposed
recently by Lin, Che and Xia is extended to investigate the Curie temp
erature T-c of magnetic bilayer heterostructures. T-c(m, n) is obtaine
d as a function of N = m + n for a structure with m monolayers of spin
film grown on a magnetic substrate of n monolayers. A strong dependen
ce upon the lattice structure is found. In particular, effects of the
interface on T-c(m, n) for systems consisting of different films are d
iscussed.
