NONLINEAR PRICING WITH A GENERAL COST FUNCTION

In this paper we treat the one-good monopolist non-linear pricing prob lem with a general cost function. If the monopolist sees the consumer type as the realization of a random variable, then the solution is obt ained by the usual pointwise maximization method. However, if the dist ribution of consumers' types is the realized distribution of buyers, t hen the solution is harder and is presented here.
