Abstract
For the first time the ground-state energy of the +/-J D-dimensional r egular spin glass is determined by the Genetic Algorithm for D>3 and v arious system sizes. Estimates of the ground-state energy of the infin ite system for D=2 and 3 are found to match the most recent calculatio ns. The method used is believed to be suitable for mapping the degener acy of the state. Copyright (C) 1996 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd
