Iminium ions derived from a condensation of glyoxal and N-methyl (R)-p
henylglycinol react with allylic silanes (trimethylallyl and trimethyl
methallylsilanes) and enoxysilanes (2-trimethylsilyloxypropene and 2-t
rimethylsilyloxystyrene). These reactions proceed in a totally stereos
elective way as evidenced by a chemical correlation and an X-Ray analy
sis of a compound related to both series of experiments. Copyright (C)
