Abstract
We report a patient in whom the principal clinical correlate of left p osterior temporal-occipital partial status epilepticus was a reversibl e disconnection syndrome, expressed as the inability to name objects a nd their colors when presented in the peripheral, but not the central, visual fields. Bilateral, localized band heterotopias were the underl ying pathology. Resolution of seizures resulted in clinical improvemen t.
