C. Ackermann et al., DO ALTERNATIVE CHLORINE-FREE BLEACHING AG ENTS REVOLUTIONIZE THE BLEACHING OF WOOD-CONTAINING DIP, Das Papier, 50(6), 1996, pp. 320-327
Wood-containing DIP is an increasingly important raw material for manu
facturing of graphic papers. An improved optical profile would offer a
dditional options for the utilization of DIP in high-quality graphic p
aper grades. Extensive bleaching trials with alternative chlorine-free
bleaching agents (ozone, oxygen) make evident that for bleaching of w
ood-containing DIP no benefit is obtained compared to conventional ble
aching chemicals (peroxide, dithionite, FAS). This is valid in the cas
e oi separate bleaching stages as well as of different bleaching seque
nces.
