Abstract
Oxygen tracer diffusion in the b direction in single-crystal CaTiO3 ha s been investigated in the temperature range 1121-1313 K. The diffusio n coefficients determined from penetration profiles measured with seco ndary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) are D-V = 9.9 x 10(-2)exp(-384.5 [k J/mol]/RT) [m(2)/s] and D-gb = 1.8 x 10(6)exp(-369.2 [kJ/mol]/RT) [m(2 )/s], respectively. The tailing region in the O-18 diffusion profile a rises from twin boundaries in CaTiO3. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
