A SIMPLE PLOT INDICATING INTERACTIONS BETWEEN SINGLE-DOMAIN PARTICLES

Magnetic interactions between single-domain particles (SDPs) dispersed in a nonmagnetic material are of technological and also of scientific interest. The usual method of measuring the strength and the sign of these interactions is based on the use of the so-called Henkel plot. U sing a natural relation between the initial curve and the hysteresis l oop in ensembles of noninteracting SDPs with uniaxial anisotropy we pr esent another method of obtaining this information. Our considerations are compared with the results of computer simulations and with experi mental data.
