Ma. Wongsam et al., A HAMILTONIAN DESCRIPTION OF FMR IN FINITE CONTINUOUS MEDIA, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 155(1-3), 1996, pp. 37-39
A Hamiltonian dynamical framework is applied to the ferromagnetic reso
nance of finite, continuous distributions of magnetisation in media wh
ich evolve via non-uniform magnetisation processes. The theory takes i
nto account the cooperative motion of the coupled moments of the syste
m and is applied to regularly shaped two-dimensional platelets under t
he influence of in-plane bias fields and small transverse dynamic pert
urbations. Resonance spectra are obtained showing a significant broade
ning of the linewidth over that expected for systems with independent
moments.
