Abstract
A numerical method in micromagnetics is described. The 2D method is us ed to investigate the dependence of coercivity on grain size as well a s the effects of magnetic interactions. Hysteresis behaviour of the fi lm were studied on an array of interacting polycrystalline grains. The coercivity and remanence are found to decrease with increasing grain size. The coupling between the grains is found to influence the magnet ic structure of the thin film. There is good agreement between our the oretical results and some experimental observation.
