Time-dependent magnetisation and magnetic interactions have been inves
tigated on (Co-Cr-Ta)/Cr thin films, The time dependence coefficient (
S) normalised to saturation magnetisation decreased with a reduction o
f the magnetic film thickness. Magnetic films which had large positive
interactions and a coercive squareness (S) of more than 0.95 showed
'Richter type' decay of demagnetisation. However, when S was less tha
n 0.91, magnetisation decreased proportionally to logarithmic time (lo
g t) during an applied field.
