Abstract
Monte Carlo simulations on a two-dimensional lattice of magnetic dipol es were performed to simulate the magnetic reversal process in two Tb/ Fe multilayers of different thickness. Hysteresis loops and the time d ependence of the magnetization at constant field have been computed an d are found to be in good qualitative agreement with experiment. The m ain features can be physically interpreted by considering the effect o f the demagnetizing forces and the difference between the coercivity o f nucleation and domain wall motion.
