Abstract
The response of a catalyst bed in a CSTR to a pulse of tracer gas has been analysed using the bidisperse pore model with a crystal size dist ribution. A parameter sensitivity analysis has shown that this system provides an elegant way of measuring diffusion and adsorption in catal yst pellets. It is shown that the catalyst mass is an important parame ter determining the measurability of the diffusivity. Copyright (C) 19 96 Elsevier Science Ltd.
