Abstract
The Edinburgh Engineering Virtual Library (EEVL) is a project, funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), to develop a gatewa y to Internet resources in engineering as part of the Electronic Libra ries Programme. This paper describes the background to the project and outlines the approach that has been taken to developing the service.
