This paper examines the main characteristics of expert regulators in c
ontrol systems for dynamic objects. We emphasize that an expert regula
tor can be used both in a laboratory for designing automatic control s
ystems, as well as directly on the controlled object. We point out tha
t the key problem in designing regulator functions is formulation of t
he design theory and possession of the requisite empirical knowledge f
or the control system which is acquired during the training process by
observing the dynamic properties of the system. This paper presents a
nd corroborates theoretical information gained during the development
of expert regulators in the areas of effective use of algorithms for i
dentifying and synthesizing the control system.
