A psychophysiological ambulatory assessment was conducted with 51 male
hypertensive patients who stayed in a rehabilitation center for four
to six weeks. A multichannel recording of blood pressure, heart rate a
nd physical activity was obtained. A pecker computer was employed for
assessing setting variables, behavior and subjective state according t
o 14 items. An assessment strategy that relates blood pressure episode
s and context variables was developed. Two short case reports and stat
istical analyses were employed to depict such symptom-context relation
ships.
