Intracranial tuberculomas continue to be a serious complication of cen
tral nervous system tuberculosis. Tuberculomas are conglomerates of tu
bercles resulting from hematogenous spread of tuberculous infection. M
odern neuroimaging studies such as magnetic resonance imaging and mole
cular biologic techniques such as polymerase chain reaction are helpfu
l in the diagnosis of central nervous system tuberculosis and tubercul
omas. We report a boy with multiple intracranial tuberculomas diagnose
d and treated with the aids of magnetic resonance and polymerase chain
reaction techniques.
