Abstract
Two rigidly bridged electron donor-acceptor systems are reported that display discrete, intramolecular charge-transfer (CT) absorption and e mission spectra in solution at room temperature. For both the CT-absor ption is highly structured irrespective of solvent, for one also the C T-fluorescence in a nonpolar solvent is structured.
