Periodically, the International Commission on Microbiological Specific
ations far Foods (ICMSF) has reported upon its activities. This report
will describe briefly why the Commission was formed, how it functions
, ifs past and current activities, and indicate its future direction.
Underlying questions are whether the Commission has been effective in
fulfilling its objectives and whether its activities are still relevan
