Abstract
The title compound, C15H15ClN2O7S, which was synthesized and character ized as the acetoxymethyl ester of 4-chloro-N-furfuryl-5-sulfamoylanth ranilic acid (furosemide) is an absorption furosemide prodrug. The mol ecule crystallized in a triclinic unit cell, space group P (1) over ba r. The crystal structure is stabilized by one intramolecular and two i ntermolecular hydrogen bonds.
