Abstract
The effect of Fe(III) during copper electrowinning was studied using a n open channel cell. The interaction of various electrolysis parameter s due to the presence of Fe(III) in the copper sulphate electrolyte wa s evaluated, Efforts were made to evaluate the copper electrowinning p rocess at higher current density in the presence of Fe(III). The data on current efficiency, power consumption, deposit nature, surface morp hology and crystallographic orientation of the cathode deposits were o btained to provide more information for industrial processing of coppe r electrolyte containing high iron.
