M. Iuchtman et al., PRIMARY NON-HODGKINS-LYMPHOMA OF THE SPLEEN WITH SPLENO-COLIC FISTULA, PRESENTING AS MASSIVE RECTAL BLEEDING, GI cancer, 1(1), 1995, pp. 71-73
An 85-year-old man was admitted with massive rectal bleeding from a sp
lenocolic fistula that originated in a primary lymphoma of the spleen.
This unique case was treated successfully by en bloc resection of the
involved organs. The tumor was a Non-Hodgkin's large cell immunoblast
ic lymphoma. The clinicopathological implications are discussed and a
literature review presented.
