Abstract
2-Cyana-3-(2-pyridyl)methylacrylates form substituted indolizines upon electrochemical reduction in the presence of chlorotrimethylsilane. A ll indolizines prepared by this procedure show intense fluorescence in solution and in the crystalline state. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Sc ience Ltd
