Abstract
A program has been created for numerically modeling a CO2 slit laser w ith pumping by a high-frequency discharge, diffusion cooling, and a hy brid unstable-waveguide cavity. The gain, the output power, and the ra diation divergence have been calculated. The calculated results are co mpared with the experimental data. Good agreement of theory and experi ment is obtained for the angular distribution of the output power. (C) 1996 The Optical Society of America.
