THE EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM USE OF FERTILIZERS ON THE MINERAL-COMPOSITION OF TYPICAL CHERNOZEMS OF THE FOREST-STEPPE REGION IN THE LEFT-BANK PART OF THE UKRAINE
Ii. Filon, THE EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM USE OF FERTILIZERS ON THE MINERAL-COMPOSITION OF TYPICAL CHERNOZEMS OF THE FOREST-STEPPE REGION IN THE LEFT-BANK PART OF THE UKRAINE, Eurasian soil science, 28(8), 1996, pp. 53-60
It is shown that prolonged use of fertilizers has induced some changes
in properties of the clay (pelitic) fractions of typical chernozems,
promoting vermiculitization of the hydromica, coagulation of the swell
ing colloids, and the formation of an unordered mixed-lattice mineral
phase; on the other hand, it has not affected the content or compositi
on of the light and heavy minerals in the various size fractions.
