Abstract
The Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture (TINA) Cons ortium is an international collaboration aiming at defining and valida ting an open architecture for telecommunication services for the broad band, multimedia, and information era. The architecture is based on di stributed computing, object orientation, and other concepts and standa rds from the telecommunications and computing industries. This paper p rovides an introduction to TINA.
