Autopsy of two Woodchuck Hepatitis Virus (WHV) infected Woodchucks, Ma
rmota monax, revealed the presence of two parasites in an hepatic loca
lization, Taenia mustelae (Larvae) and Calodium hepaticum. The authors
present the identification of the two parasites, based on the observa
tion of cysticerci of Taenia mustelae, or on the observation of the eg
gs of C.hepaticum. They discuss the probable interaction between hepat
ic parasites and WHV infection.
